.KISS and .DRY

All Paratroopers solutions are KISS and DRY. We truly believe in both principles, and simplicity is our key goal when developing.

.KISS principle

KISS, aka ‘Keep it simple, stupid’, is a well-known principle from the ’60s. This principle includes the theory that most systems work best if you keep them simple. In other words, avoid complexity and do not complicate a system that already works.

.DRY principle

DRY stands for ‘don’t repeat yourself ’. This basic principle is aimed to reduce the repetition of information in software development. We don’t write lengthy methods but divide and use pieces that are already existing. This not only saves time and effort, but it’s also easy to maintain and reduces the chances of bugs. Because of this, we create the least amount of, so-called, technical debt.
